As the matter of fact, you can only drive in US with International Driver's License if you have valid Drivers License from your country. In your case the answer is yes, you can drive in US. You can not use I.D.L. in the country where your original Drivers License was issued. But you have to keep in mind that International Drivers License is only intended to be used by people traveling in the country and staying in the country legally.

IDLs are never valid alone OR in the country of issue.

In order to renew your IDL you need to send us a copy of your expired IDL along with the $25.00 renewal fee + gshipping and handlin. Your IDL will be renewed in 24 hours. Please be advised that you should not renew your IDL if your original drivers license has expired.

If you lost your IDL and would like to receive a duplicate please follow this procedure: Fill out new application. Email us application # with the subject "duplicate" Pay the $25.00 renewal fee + shipping and handling. Your IDL will be renewed in 24 hours.

In order to change any information on your IDL you need to send us your existing IDL along with the $25.00 change fee + shipping and handling and a new application form with new address.

You should put same address that appears on your original drivers license.

A valid National drivers license. This license is not supplied by KrasCar International Drivers Club.

International Drivers License is a License that confirms that you have a valid drivers license in your country. If you lost your original license IDL has nothing to confirm so you should not apply for IDL. The answer is NO, you may not apply and drive with IDL without your original drivers license.

14. Can a person with a revoked or suspended license drive with an IDL?

Absolutely not! You must hold a valid National license to drive abroad with the IDL.

15. My original license will expire in 8 months, can I still use International Drivers License?

Your original drivers license supersedes IDL. You may use IDL for 8 months until your original license expires.
